What is the Past Pupil’s Association of the Lycée Français d’Irlande?
Founded in 2007, the LFI Past Pupil’s Association (“LFIPPA”) is open to all LFI pupils, those past and present wishing to maintain a link with the LFI pupil body.
What are the Association’s objectives?
The LFIPPA is a network of several thousand former pupils and allows among other things:
To establish and promote contact between former pupils;
To maintain such contact to allow those past pupils already in the workforce to assist new graduates in their career choices;
To offer support to new graduates in settling in to their chosen third level institution, whether in France or abroad (e.g. tutoring, offering assistance in relation to their accommodation, integration onto the campus, etc.);
To offer support to new graduates in finding work experience placements either in France or abroad;
To facilitate meetings between past pupils;
To offer assistance when moving country;
To create points of contact within the French school network abroad to offer assistance in relation to business contacts, housing, transport, etc;
To recognise these past pupils in their dealings with the schools in the network (particularly when they themselves become parents of pupils within the network);
To offer assistance in dealing with the French administration system;
To offer support to the LFI and its pupils by:
- organising meetings/events in cities where there is a large past pupil population;
- involve the alumni in local events such as debates and sporting and cultural events; and
- to encourage past pupils to establish financial partnerships including public, private or corporation donations.
