Lola Sarton, an LFI Sixth Year pupil last year, has won
the Prize for Scientific and Technical Vocation.
She was entered and supported by the school. The French prize for Scientific and Technical Vocation for girls is intended to reward and encourage sixth year girls who want to pursue scientific and technical studies in areas where they are under-represented.
The jury members of the French Regional Delegation for Women's Rights and Equality met on 12th October last to decide on the winners for 2011. This year, 57 girls were chosen. 46 will be rewarded by the French State and 11 by different partners associated with the prize.
The prize will be presented to Ms. Sarton on Wednesday 7th December at the regional prefecture of Lille.
